GUINEEFEST 2009
_____________________________________________

GUINEEFEST 2009 is a premier cultural event sponsored by PROJECT2005 and will take place annually in the Washington DC area. It will include music, arts and sports from Guinea. The theme of the festival this year is "History, Tradition and Hope".

This year, the event will take place at Fairland Recreational Park in Silver Spring, MD

GUINEEFEST will be held over July 4 Weekend and will be for many, the traditional way to enjoy the summer. The festival features live performances by local artists, fine art, handmade jewelry, sculpture and clothing by artisans from Guinea and its neighboring countries and much, much more.

We would be remiss if we did not mention the festival's diverse culinary offerings. Let your taste buds dance in delight from the abundance of Guinean cuisine in the food court. Taste the many dishes from the different corners of Guinea and its neighboring countries, and many hotter, spicy, delicious cultural cuisines of the African Diaspora.

 TOURNAMENT

GUINEEFEST 2009 will feature a friendly Co Ed tournament in Soccer, Volleyball, Scrabble and Chest (Damier). Each patron wishing to participate in any of the featured tournament will contact the tournament director to sign up.
